Wedding Photos at Maumee Bay

A few weeks ago, we had a beautiful fall weekend and did some wedding photos at Maumee Bay! Emily described her wedding as an enchanted forest or fairytale wedding theme. She had lots of wines and golds and the colors looked beautiful paired with the waterfront ceremony and tented reception at Maumee Bay.

Emily and Matt met while working together at Kroger. They became friends but didn’t start dating for several years.
Emily said, “The spark was undeniable and we’ve been practically inseparable ever since!”

For their proposal story, Emily explained, “Matt surprised me with a weekend getaway to Grand Haven, MI. He planned on proposing on the pier, but the January weather was against him. We went to dinner and hit a few places downtown before heading to our room at the bed and breakfast. He had the front desk put decorations in the room for us and he used that as his backup plan. I opened the door to our room and saw the decorations and champagne and turned around to find him down on one knee!”

The couple got ready at Maumee Bay Lodge and then did a first look to see each other before their ceremony. I grabbed lots of portraits of the two and then it was time for the ceremony! Emily had both of her parents walk her down the aisle and then they did a wine ceremony together for their unity portion. They had a gorgeous wooden circular arch paired with pumpkins and fall-colored flowers – it was perfect!

Emily and Matt had a tented reception and it was beautiful. From carved pumpkins to lots of colors and even a fun live band, it was a blast! Congratulations to the happy couple. I wish you years of happiness!
