During a trip to Colorado, they had already agreed it would be an “engagement trip,” but neither had decided exactly who would propose first or when. Mitch didn’t want to spend two weeks carrying a ring and nerves, so on the very first day at Mesa Verde National Park, he found a quiet overlook where the two had a brief moment alone and asked Ethan to marry him. No elaborate production, no audience—just incredible scenery and the two of them.
Their wedding day carried that same love for the outdoors, even while celebrating indoors. They exchanged vows inside Prout Chapel at Bowling Green State University before celebrating with family and friends at the Veterans Memorial Building in downtown Bowling Green.
