Julia and Greg’s story started in two places at once: online and on the campus of Siena Heights University. What began as an internet connection eventually became a real-life relationship, and thankfully, unlike Siena Heights, their story is still very much alive and well.
When it came time for Greg to propose, he decided the best way to surprise Julia was to spend the month beforehand taking her out to nice dinners. The goal was to completely throw her off. Then, right before the proposal, he took her ring shopping and brought her to a fountain, where he finally asked her to marry him. After a month of suspiciously nice dinners, apparently the plan worked.
Their wedding day at Nazareth Hall was romantic, elegant, and full of personality. Julia and Greg exchanged vows in the beautiful Nazareth Hall Chapel before celebrating in the newly renovated Ladyglen Ballroom. The historic chapel brought all the classic wedding charm, while the updated reception space gave them the perfect setting for a night of celebrating.
Their color palette of rose pink and sage green brought a romantic garden feel to the day. Soft floral details and greenery complemented the timeless setting of Nazareth Hall, creating a look that felt elegant without being overly formal.
And while the décor may have been romantic, the reception was anything but quiet. Julia and Greg put together an amazing pop-punk playlist that kept the party going, with plenty of time for guests to enjoy the back patio and lawn games. Gelato added a fun sweet treat, while late-night pretzels made sure everyone had something to fuel the dance floor.
It was the perfect combination of pretty and playful. A romantic garden-inspired wedding, a gorgeous historic venue, a newly renovated ballroom, and a reception soundtrack that proved Julia and Greg knew exactly how to throw a party.
From meeting online and eventually finding each other on the Siena Heights campus to a month of intentionally distracting dinners and a proposal by a fountain, Julia and Greg’s wedding day was a celebration that felt every bit as fun and genuine as their story.
