They met while they were both in college, but it wasn’t until they began working together as orientation leaders that they really got to know each other. Spending so much time together helping welcome new students quickly turned into something more, and before long, they were dating.

Their wedding day at the Toledo Zoo was everything they had envisioned: elegant, relaxed, and full of joy. Under blue skies with perfect Toy Story clouds, they exchanged vows in the beautiful Zoo Gardens before celebrating with family and friends in the Great Hall.
Instead of sharing a first look, Alex and Kara chose to wait until the ceremony to see one another. That made the walk down the aisle even more emotional, while still allowing plenty of time beforehand for portraits with their bridesmaids, groomsmen, and families.
