Belle Isle Park | Detroit Engagement Photos
What a fun engagement session in Detroit! It took us foreverrrrrr to get Morgan and Jake’s session scheduled due to some crazy unpredictable weather, but after a few months of reschedules, I would say we picked the perfect date and time together! It was chilly out for sure, but there were some beautiful clouds and even light, which allowed us to photograph everywhere at Belle Isle Park in Detroit!
I absolutely love photographing at Belle Isle. It’s a beautiful escape from my regular Toledo engagement photo sessions and always a nice little road trip. I always surprise people when I let them know we have the option to travel for engagement photos (or weddings!). I am often seen in Columbus, Cleveland, Detroit, Ann Arbor, and occasionally have a wedding or engagement session in Chicago. I have even been to Mexico for a wedding!
Morgan and Jake have adorable chemistry and had me laughing the entire time – they were just so cute together and had fun with the session! They were married last year and their reception will take place this October at The Roostertail in Detroit. I cannot wait to see them party it up and celebrate in style with their black-tie affair!
We had a blast at the engagement session in January and it ended with the most perfect snowfall – I just loved how beautifully my flash picked it up and illuminated their silhouettes. We truly could not have picked a more perfect time to do their session!
