Saturday at Collingwood Arts Center with Isabella and Keegan was such a dream. Even with the unexpected rain shower during wedding party portraits, we made the whole dan day work and even got a rainbow in some of their photos! The ceremony took place at Collingwood Arts Center followed by a party bus drive to The Spot in Oak Openings and the couples other favorite spot, the flower mural behind Handmade Toledo. We then followed that up with a Registry Bistro reception. Isabella described the wedding vision as, “very whimsical, dreamy, slightly untraditional. Our colors are burgundy, black and greenery with hints of blush. Very romantic with darker fall vibes coming into play.”
Keegan and Isabella met back in high school and started dating when Isabella was only 16! Keegan asked to take her to the movies and the rest was history. The couple loves to take winery/brewery tours and take quick mini trips/drives to new places. They also love to brunch, go to art galleries, shops and explore anywhere and everywhere.
Since the beginning of their relationship, one of their favorite date spots was Side Cut Metro Park. Keegan and Isabella both moved away from Whitehouse for college, but would still make it a point to go back to carve marks for each year they have been together into the wooden railing at their favorite lookout spot. On the day of the proposal, Keegan convinced Isabella that his brother-in-law had accidentally let their dog off the leash and needed help wrangling him. Soon after arriving at the park, Keegan walked Isabella up to their favorite lookout spot where he had carved ‘marry me’ into the same wooden railing we visited after so many years and asked her to marry him!
I absolutely loved the first look this couple had since they just held hands and exchanged gifts but did not see each other. The emotions on both sides of that door was just so perfect and it was a great way to ease some of that morning stress before the ceremony began. Keegan’s reaction to seeing Isabella for the first time was priceless and these guys were total badasses between the heat and the rain that day. It started literally donwpouring when we arrived at The Spot and the couple decided this was their dream and rain out into the rain anyway for portraits!
Driving back, we spotted an epic rainbow and had the limo driver pull off right by the Toledo Airport so we could snap a quick photo. Then we were off to Handmade Toledo and luckily stayed dry there before heading to the reception at Registry Bistro. Registry looked stunning, as always, and we had fun capturing all of the beautiful moments of the reception.
Congrats you two lovebirds!
