I had the pleasure Friday of photographing Sam and Adam for their beautiful wedding! They had the perfect day that started out with getting ready photos as Adam and his Groomsmen were in the Groom’s suite building and the girls were upstairs getting their makeup and hair completed. It was a hot day Friday, but it didn’t stop us from capturing some beautiful moments outside of Sam and her girls and Adam and his groomsmen before the ceremony, since the couple opted not to see each other before the ceremony.
The couple met at mutual friends party in high school and became best friends. From there, the relationship progressed and Sam knew Adam was the one, “around our 5 year anniversary. I had looked back at all of the things we had done together; graduating high school, college, learning how to be broke, learning how to pay bills, trying to figure out who we were as individuals while also being in a relationship. I realized that I would never want to do any of those things or anything in the future without my best friend right next to me.” Sam originally asked Adam to be her boyfriend at the zoo while they were sitting on a bench at the Lights before Christmas in 2008. Adam decided that he would ask Sam to marry him on the same bench at the zoo during the lights in 2017 with her family and friends watching in secret! SO CUTE.
When I walked in to see Sam and meet the rest of her girls, it was so calm and there was a chill vibe. The girls were listening to quite a bomb playlist of 90s/2000s alternative music and I was all for it. I loved Sam’s gorgeous veil that was purchased from oe of her bridesmaids overseas in Barcelona! It gave me all the royal wedding vibes with Kate and Meghan with the stunning lace detail and long cathedral length. It was definitely a show stopper, as was Sam! Adam’s reaction as she walked down the aisle says it all.
We ended the night with sunset and dancing. Sunset did not disappoint and I loved running out to grab the last drops of light for wedding party and couples photos before we headed inside. It was the perfect day!
