I remember this day vividly for this engagement session. Jenna was SUPER nervous because it was a cloudy day and we were also slightly worried about the possibility of rain. I said to Jenna – “Cloudy photos are badass. You’re a badass. Let’s do it!”
And we did.
We met at Oak Openings near The Spot as Jenna loved the photos I had taken there, and we traveled close by to my favorite field. I wanted to capture the clouds in all of their beauty with these two. We headed to the field and started on our photos, switching outfits halfway through like normal. Then, after wrapping up in the field, we headed to The Spot. The Spot is a grouping of tall trees located inside Oak Openings Metropark and is quite a popular location for photographers, especially in the fall. Luckily, due to the promise of rain showers and cloudiness, we were the only ones around.
We had some fun walking in the beautiful Spot and I took lots of photos of these two while hearing some more about their planning and them. It’s always nice when we have a little walk between two locations so I can hear some more wedding details and personal stories from the couple.
We wrapped up and drove back home. I remember a few sprinkles hitting my windshield on the drive back. I absolutely loved how these photos turned out and the chemistry between both of these guys is just so electric! I can’t wait to share!
