They met on September 9, 2023, at Hop Fidelity, a small record shop in West Chester, Pennsylvania. They spent about an hour browsing the stacks and talking about Bob Dylan and The Rolling Stones, but what was supposed to be a quick meetup turned into lunch, dinner, and a full day of getting to know each other. There was an immediate connection, and they’ve been inseparable ever since.
The years that followed brought plenty of love, laughter, travel, concerts, and, naturally, a lot more music. Eventually, Jim proposed, and the record playing during that moment became one of the most meaningful details of their wedding day.
Jim purchased that exact record playing on the day Kallie said yes. For their wedding, it became their guest book, giving friends and family the chance to sign something that was already part of their story. It was such a personal way to bring their favorite things into the celebration and create a keepsake they will have forever.
Kallie and Jim celebrated their wedding at Gideon Owen Winery in Port Clinton, Ohio. Cloudy skies and a few sprinkles changed the plans for their ceremony, moving it upstairs into the loft. The cozy setting made for a beautiful ceremony surrounded by the people closest to them and the most beautiful-smelling flowers from GardenView.
Instead of the traditional bridesmaids and groomsmen, they had bridespeople and groomspeople standing beside them. The people who mattered the most to them both. Jim’s bandmates were part of the wedding party, and they even performed during the reception, making the evening feel even more personal and completely true to who they are.
After the ceremony and reception, we headed out into the vineyard for portraits. The clouds finally gave way to a gorgeous sunset, giving Kallie and Jim some beautiful golden evening light and a quiet moment together after a full day of celebrating.
From the record that brought them together to the music that filled their reception, Kallie and Jim’s wedding was full of details that felt personal, meaningful, and unmistakably theirs.
