A newlywed couple standing in front of Nazareth Hall

The Nazareth Hall wedding of Monica and Dave was a magical celebration of their love story, a testament to their enduring connection, and a beautiful reflection of their fairytale romance. Monica and Dave’s love story starts 4,448 miles apart. Dave was born in Honolulu and raised in Maui, Hawaii. He spent most of his life in Hawaii before moving stateside permanently in 2018. His knowledge and passion for technology helped him succeed quickly as a Technical Recruiter at his friend Dan’s staffing agency.

Meanwhile, Monica was born in Sylvania, Ohio, and lived around Ohio and SE Michigan after college. She was living in Michigan in 2020 when the pandemic struck and her job in the automotive industry was affected. When searching for what to do next, she came across a job ad for a Technical Recruiter at a small staffing agency in Cincinnati. This is how she met Dave, whom she contacted on LinkedIn about the job. She was hired! She packed up and moved to Cincinnati in the middle of the pandemic.

Dave moved from Pennsylvania to Covington, KY, in 2020 as well, a few months before Monica. They worked together for a couple of years before Monica got an amazing opportunity to work as a Technical Recruiter for Kroger. Dave had been instrumental in helping Monica get this position, and he was very proud to see her take on this next chapter. After she left though, they both realized quickly how much they cared for each other and missed seeing each other. After a while, they finally decided to meet up and share how they really felt.

The rest is history, as they say. They fell in love over the next several months and decided, “now is as good a time as any” to start their family. They welcomed the birth of their son, Pierce Maxwell Cannon, in August of 2023.

With their hearts full of happiness, on a cozy evening just a few days before Christmas, in the warmth of their home, Dave asked Monica to be his forever. She said yes, and in that moment, their world lit up with joy and love.

Their wedding can be described as romantic. Their Grotto outdoor ceremony was right out of a fairytale. The Nazareth Hall ceremony was an enchanting backdrop for their vows, creating a truly magical atmosphere. Monica was dressed in a stunning lace dress with a cathedral-length veil. Monica said,” I want to feel the breeze and hear the birds outside.” The colors were blush pink, mulberry, and rosewood with gold and white accents. The guys wore navy with blush ties. It was an incredible day and I cannot wait to share the photos below:
