Hannah and Noah’s story started the way a lot of great ones do—through mutual friends. They were both planning to attend the same party, though only one of them knew it ahead of time. Noah had already seen photos of Hannah and was determined to go once he heard she’d be there. Hannah, meanwhile, had no idea he would be. One introduction later, the rest fell into place.
Their proposal felt straight out of a movie. The two had planned a vacation to Hawaii, thinking it would just be a relaxing trip together. Noah told Hannah they were meeting up with a friend who lived there, but it was all part of the plan. As they walked onto the beach, Hannah was greeted by a “Marry Me” sign, a musician playing the ukulele, and a photographer capturing the moment. Just when she thought the surprise couldn’t get any bigger, their parents stepped out from behind a nearby tree. It was emotional, surreal, and unforgettable.
Their wedding day at Birchwood Meadow in Swanton, Ohio, kept everyone on their toes with the weather. The day started sunny for the bridesmaids’ photos before the sky quickly turned cloudy. We managed to finish groomsmen portraits juuuust before the rain arrived, and the ceremony was moved indoors beneath Birchwood’s beautiful vaulted ceilings. The cozy indoor setting actually made the moment even more intimate.
One of the most emotional moments of the day was Hannah’s first look with her dad, which brought plenty of tears. When it was finally time for the ceremony, Noah stood at the end of the aisle with the biggest smile on his face as Hannah walked toward him.
Their vision blended modern elegance with Birchwood’s rustic barn charm. Mauve tones paired with whites, soft purples, and lush greenery created a romantic palette, while wooden elements woven through the centerpieces tied everything into the venue’s natural aesthetic.
By evening, the rain had cleared, and the sky rewarded everyone with a gorgeous sunset. We ended the night outside with umbrellas, dramatic lighting, and a few playful photos with their pup that perfectly captured the joyful energy of the day.
From a chance meeting at a party to a surprise proposal on a Hawaiian beach and a wedding day full of weather twists and golden moments, Hannah and Noah’s celebration was heartfelt, beautiful, and completely unforgettable.
