Why I love Hensville weddings:

There’s something so charming about a wedding venue right smack dab in the Warehouse District of Toledo. I love the vibe here, the surrounding buildings are beautiful, there are plenty of bars to pop into for a quick toast photo, and the look of Hensville is so unique. I just love the exposed ceilings and exposed brick. The rooftop views overlooking downtown Toledo are picture perfect.  For more detailed Hensville information, here is their official website.

What makes Hensville so unique?

  • There are two venue spaces to choose from, a more rustic space and a more industrial space. Both are newly renovated!
  • Parking for your guests is easy and convenient (couples at other downtown venues worry about this)
  • Your views of the Mudhens Stadium are fantastic – and you can even opt to take photos down there!
  • Hotels are close by and within walking distance.
  • Plenty of super close places for rehearsal dinners that are local Toledo favorites!
  • AMAZING rooftop sunset views!

Where can I have my wedding ceremony at Hensville?

Hensville has both indoor and outdoor spaces to choose from. The beauty of this venue is it’s available to book year-round, so you can find something here to fit your needs! Whether you want to get married on a rooftop or inside the Roost or another marvelous location, you have lots of options to choose from! Here is an example of an indoor wedding ceremony at the Nine and a reception at The Armory.

Where can I have my reception at Hensville?

There are two main spaces inside Hensville to have your wedding reception, The Armory and the Holy Toledo room.

Let me break them down for you below:

Let’s start with my favorite spot, The Armory room. This Hensville venue located on the fourth floor of Fleetwood’s offers large windows, lots of exposed brick, and vaulted ceilings. You get amazing views of the Mudhens Stadium and downtown here and it holds up to 250 guests. This is my top spot in downtown for sunset views! This industrial space can be decorated however you’d like and is a blank slate. You can even do a rooftop ceremony or cocktail hour on Fleetwood’s rooftop. A close second is the Holy Toledo room, which is a more rustic space than The Armory room and has a checkerboard dance floor. The sunset views here are still gorgeous and it’s a darker vibe and feel here versus The Armory room. There’s lots of exposed brick and neutral carpet, making it blend in with any decor you choose. Also has a rooftop option that is super pretty with amazing views! Holds up to 200 guests. Click here to see a wedding reception at the Holy Toledo room.
