Last Sunday, I had the pleasure of photographing Nicole and Charlie’s intimate wedding at the charming Bloom and Bower venue in Rising Sun, Ohio. The weather was perfect—a gorgeous sunny day that set the tone for a romantic wedding in dusty rose and navy hues. As their wedding photographer in Rising Sun, Ohio, I captured every heartfelt smile and loving glance, from the tearful first look to the joyful first dance.
Nicole and Charlie’s love story began at a high school homecoming dance. Although they grew up less than three miles apart and even rode the same bus, they didn’t meet until that special night. Charlie originally had his eyes on a friend, but fate intervened when she turned him down, and he ended up meeting Nicole instead. After sharing phone numbers under the glow of dance-floor lights, they began a journey that led them to this unforgettable day.
Their bond deepened during a challenging season when Nicole comforted Charlie and his siblings over ice cream after his dad passed away. “Keep her around,” Charlie’s brother said when Nicole left, knowing she was someone special. That moment cemented their connection, and it’s been growing ever since. Through shared grief, they discovered a new level of vulnerability and commitment—a foundation strong enough to support a lifetime together.
From personalized floral arrangements to their favorite dusty rose and navy accents, every detail reflected Nicole and Charlie’s style and passion. They love dining at Kengo and The Standard, cheering on their favorite baseball teams, and taking their dog Cooper for walks in local parks. Their ceremony honored those interests, creating an atmosphere of intimacy that made every guest feel like part of their story.
As a seasoned Toledo wedding photographer, capturing genuine moments is what I live for, and Nicole and Charlie’s celebration was truly magical! I loved every minute from the first moment I saw Nicole to the last dance at the end in the gazebo.
