Maumee Bay Summer Wedding

Lisa and Luke had a beautiful two-part wedding: the ceremony occurred in October of 2021 and the reception in August of 2022. Both days were absolutely perfect and it was such an honor to be a part of their unique celebration! I absolutely loved how it all came full circle – Lisa and Luke met online and after a few months of chatting, decided to meet in person at Maumee Bay – the same place their reception was held.
For their proposal story, Lisa said, “It was the last day I had my apartment. We both worked a full day at our jobs and met at the apartment to pack the rest of my stuff up and clean it out. It was raining. We were soaked but stopped for a quick dinner at Fricker’s. When we made it home, we both had our cars full of stuff to carry in, but instead, we were in the kitchen, dancing to music like fools. So there we were dancing in the kitchen, soaked from the rain, with our cars still full of stuff, and he knelt down in the kitchen and proposed to me there. He said I screamed, cried, and laughed all at the same time and I hugged him. He said he had to ask me for an answer because he was still holding the box with the ring and I was still hugging him but I hadn’t actually said words yet. It was perfect for us.”

Their wedding reception, fittingly, had quite a bit of rain! I loved sneaking away at dusk with these two for some rainy photos under my clear umbrellas and getting in a bit more portrait time with these two lovebirds. Congrats, Lisa and Luke! From start to finish, you had an absolutely incredible celebration and I was so honored to be a part of it!
