Sabrina and Chris said “I Do” among family and friends for their Nazareth Hall ceremony and Toledo Mud Hens Wedding in late June. They got married on the craziest, rainiest day of the year! Their wedding will go down in Luckybird history with the weather!
Sabrina and Chris met while working together at a Bob Evans. Chris proposed to Sabrina after seven years of being together! He went and got a dog tag engraved for their dog, Skylar, and surprised Sabrina. On the two-sided tag was “please say yes” and “will you marry me?” Very sweet!
The ceremony took place in the Nazareth Hall Chapel (instead of the regularly scheduled Grotto!) due to the torrential rains all day! Sabrina’s brother walked her down the aisle and Chris instantly lit up when he saw her!
The two had a short and sweet ceremony – and actually tied the knot! They tied a Fisherman’s knot, which gets stronger under pressure. We love this alternative to a unity candle or sand ceremony!
The two shared many romantic moments inside Nazareth Hall before we ventured right outside under the covered entrance!
They got into a trolley, their transportation to the venue and other locations, with their entire bridal party! We love limo alternatives!
We stopped for a few quick drinks at The Durty Bird in Toledo, before heading to the Mud Hens Stadium for their Hensville reception!
Chris and Sabrina’s wedding reception at Hensville had lots of beautiful details, such as a marquee with their initials, paper lanterns above the cake table, and even wine bottles for the tables! We love a good Mud Hens backdrop for wedding photos.
The wine bottles followed into the reception area, serving as table numbers for the guests to find their seats!
Congratulations, Sabrina and Chris! We wish you the very best!
