Natalie and Mike are one of those couples I instantly connected with and felt honored to be a part of their special day. The pair is so in love and they were truly both so excited to get married. Natalie was jumping up and down when it came time for Mike to kiss the bride. The couple’s Nazareth Hall woodland wedding photos were absolutely beautiful!
For the wedding vision and theme at Nazareth Hall on the wedding day, Natalie and Mike had a woodland/garden theme. The colors were rose gold, blush, and navy. Natalie’s consultant Nikki at White Arbor Bridal called it “whimsical woodland” and the day was formal with a romantic, “whimsical” feel!
The couple got married outside at the Grotto at Nazareth Hall for their ceremony. Their reception took place inside Lady Glen ballroom. Natalie wore a floral crown and Lily, her daughter, wore a matching floral crown. Lily was right by Natalie’s side the whole day!
The couple met while working at Toledo Hospital. Natalie worked as a Nurse on the Orthopedic Unit, and Mike worked in Physical Therapy. The pair started out as close friends for a few years. After a while, they realized they worked really well together and enjoyed each other’s company so much, they decided to date!
Natalie said, “On our first date on February 2nd, 2012, the coldest but most beautiful winter night, Mike took me to Biaggi’s at Levis Commons. After dinner, we walked around, talking for hours then had our first kiss under the clock tower. I realized very soon, that Mike was the piece of the puzzle that would someday complete my little family with Lily (Natalie’s daughter). On December 10th, 2016, another very cold and beautiful winter night, Mike took me and Lily out to dinner at Biaggi’s and walked us to the clock tower. He bent down on one knee, and asked Lily’s blessing to propose to me, and promised to always take care of us. When she said yes, he placed a ring on her finger. He then turned and proposed to me, with my little sidekick standing by.”
Something fun that we were able to do during Natalie and Mike’s engagement session was so surprise Lily with the news that she would be the Maid of Honor! Natalie got in touch with me before the session and mentioned having a gift for Lily to open and asked if we could take some photos of her reaction. Of course, I said yes!
I am so happy to show everyone these photos because I feel like they really captured the fun and beauty of the day. However, I am seriously SO sad this wedding is over because Natalie and I built such a relationship together throughout this process. It helped that we had also known each other from a few years ago when I photographed her friend Jess’s wedding as well. Congrats, you three! You’re the cutest little family and I cannot wait to see where life takes you together!
