Any wedding where the bride rolls up a few minutes before the ceremony and does a shot with friends is a good day – haha! I LOVED this intimate wedding day and after a lot of uncertainty with dancing and guest counts and everything else a pandemic couple has to deal with on top of wedding planning, it allllllll came together.
Their ceremony took place on the grounds of Olander Park on a super windy yet beautiful day! Their reception took place at Nederhouser Community Hall, which was a rustic venue with exposed wooden beams and a stone fireplace.
Lisa and Joe met on Bumble. The pair spent a few days messaging, scheduled a date together and then Lisa cancelled because she was over the dating scene. She ended up meeting Joe about a week later – they went to Nick and Jimmy’s for dinner and before the date ended, he asked Lisa out the next day! Joe knew Lisa was the one a month in and told her he loved her one drunken night at Put in Bay with friends. Lisa caught up about a month later when she had to catch herself from just blurting it out at the end of phone conversations.
For the proposal story, Lisa went out to dinner with two friends (who did not know this was happening) and Joe took that opportunity to deck out their bedroom with petals, candles and balloons and just waited for Lisa to come home. She arrived home and Joe called her upstairs – Lisa came up and noticed the bedroom door was closed. When she opened it, Lisa said, “he was saying all the things he loved about me and us and got down on one knee to propose!”
I cannot wait to share these wedding photos – Lisa and Joe, it was an honor to be a small part of your wedding day! I wish you two the very best and I am down for a Nick and Jimmy’s get-together any time!
