Natalie and Justin’s Aquarium wedding was absolutely perfect! Even the rain didn’t put a damper on the day. We loved the remodeled aquarium setting and due to the rain, got to experience it for both the ceremony and reception portion of the day.
After Natalie and her friends and family were dressed, we went outside and snuck under some covered areas for photos. We ended up heading to the Amphitheater for a majority of the earlier photos, due mainly to the on again off again rain.
The couple opted for a first look before their ceremony, which means seeing each other in person before the traditional “walking down the aisle” moment. It’s a great way to calm nerves and it is also an amazing way to get lots and lots of photos if there is a shorter time between a ceremony and reception.
Justin had his back to Natalie and she snuck up behind him, tapping him on the shoulder. He then turned around and they got to see each other. We grabbed lots of photos, of course! After the first look, I took some super romantic shots of the two of them. What better way to kick off portraits than to see each other before the wedding and have those wedding day feels!
The rain didn’t stop us from having fun!
After portraits, we headed inside to capture the ceremony. It took place right in front of a large aquarium and was a very unique backdrop. After the ceremony and cocktail hour, the party began. They had such cute details with a nod to the aquarium and I loved the color scheme. At each place setting was an underwater creature cookie for a wedding favor…yum!
Natalie and Justin shared their first dance underneath the romantic lights. I just love the way the aquarium was decorated. Congrats, you two!
