It was such a breeze working with Taylor and Tyler throughout their engagement and planning stages, and their wedding day did not disappoint! These guys had such a romantic and elegant ceremony and reception at The Park Inn in downtown Toledo. But, before I get ahead of myself, let me talk a little bit about these two lovebirds.
Taylor and Tyler met in gym class in high school (high school sweethearts, just like me and my husband!) and fast forward a little bit to when Tyler gave Taylor a promise ring. Because when he did, which is adorable, he also gave her a bouquet that had a fake rose in it saying, “Our love will never die”. Adorable, right? It gets better.
Unknown to Tyler, on their wedding day, Taylor surprised him by adding the fake rose INTO the real floral bouquet. It was the cutest thing ever! Taylor wasn’t even sure if Tyler knew she kept it.
These two had the most easygoing wedding day with a chill start to the day surrounded by wedding party and family and then a first look at the staircase at the Park Inn. I am always obsessed with the natural light this staircase has to offer. We rolled into family photos before the ceremony and then the couple took a break while we photographed some of the reception details before the day officially was underway.
The ceremony was short and sweet and involved the couple pouring sand into an hourglass, a nod to Taylor’s love of the Wizard of Oz. After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed drinks and appetizers while we walked over to Hensville for some more photos of the couple. Then it was time to party!
Since the couple got married on May the Fourth (Star Wars Day), they entered the reception with lightsabers! It was such a fun way to start the night. The reception was beautiful and featured a dessert bar for guests as well as a lovely ambiance with the lighting and gorgeous chandeliers the Park Inn has to offer. It was such a fun night and the couple was out on the dance floor all night long!
