Some love stories begin in the most unexpected places. For Ralph and Luke, it was an STNA class in July 2020 where they first crossed paths while training to become State Tested Nursing Assistants. Their connection was instant yet easy, and their first date was just as laid-back, involving a stop for ice cream before they wandered the trails at Wildwood. No big plans, no pressure. Just two people who genuinely enjoyed being around each other.
Later, on Luke’s birthday, they took a trip to Cleveland for dinner and a Tigers vs. Guardians baseball game. Luke thought it was just a night out to celebrate, but Ralph had something else planned. He proposed at dinner, completely catching Luke off guard and making it a birthday neither of them will ever forget.
Their wedding day at Stillwaters Retreat in McComb, Ohio, reflected everything they love most. Romantic, woodsy, and filled with twilight charm. Crisp whites and fresh greenery surrounded them, while their guests looked incredible in classic black, creating a timeless and elegant contrast against the lush, natural setting. The summer heat didn’t matter—everyone was all smiles, laughing and celebrating from start to finish.
In true Ralph and Luke fashion, dinner came from Los Agaves Taqueria, a taco truck that brought all the flavor and fun to their reception. It was casual, joyful, and perfect.
As the sun started to set, we slipped away for sunset portraits and stayed out a little longer for night shots. The light softened, the air cooled, and it felt like the world slowed down just for them. Those quiet moments together in the fading light might’ve been some of my favorites all day.
From a classroom connection to a Cleveland proposal to a warm summer night under the stars, Ralph and Luke’s day was full of love, laughter, and everything that makes a story worth telling.
