Outdoor garden weddings at the Schedel Arboretum and Gardens are an absolute dream. Whether an intimate gathering for 20 or a lavish event for 300, you can hold both ceremonies and receptions at this location. Indoor reception space is available for up to 90 guests depending on specific needs. Larger tented events can be held in the lower level gardens.
Jamie and Tyler had the most beautiful fall wedding this past Saturday, which was the most popular wedding date of the year! The overall vision for their wedding day was a romantic and elegant feel with colors of wine red, ivory, whites, and silvers. It was the perfect fall day with amazing temps and amazing colors on all the trees.
Tyler and Jamie met in 2015 during Jamie’s senior year at Ashland University. The couple met like most college students do, at a party. They were introduced through a mutual friend and had a small conversation that night, but since Tyler attended The Ohio State University, Jamie didn’t see or speak to him for a while after that. About a month later, Tyler reached out to Jamie on Twitter, they exchanged numbers and have been inseparable ever since!
When I asked Tyler how he knew Jamie was the one, he said, “I knew Jamie was the one the second I saw her. I thought to myself “that’s the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen in my life.” As I got to know her better my love for her became greater every day.”
When I asked Jamie how she knew Tyler was the one, she said, “When Tyler came into my life it wasn’t long before I realized that I loved him. Tyler is kind, thoughtful, has the sweetest heart, and his sense of humor continues to make me fall in love with him every day. The way he loves me is unlike anything I’ve ever known.”
On October 26th, 2018, Tyler took Jamie on a romantic dinner on a yacht called the Odyssey. The Odyssey sails on Lake Michigan with the skyline of Chicago in the distance. After dinner, Tyler took Jamie on the top deck of the yacht, to which he got down on one knee and asked Jamie to marry him. She said “YES!”
I absolutely loved this day and helped Jamie create a wedding timeline that allowed for many photo opportunities and lots of stress-free time in between the ceremony and reception. The couple had time to just drive around on the bus with their friends in between the ceremony and reception gap, which is always so nice. Congrats, Jamie and Tyler! It was an amazing day and I wish you both the very best!
