It was an honor to celebrate with Meghan and Josh! I woke up on Saturday with a huge smile on my face and as I prepared for the day, there was a light snowfall falling to set the mood. When I arrived at The Armory Arts and Events Center, Meghan and her bridesmaids were so calm and collected and we actually finished things up early, which NEVER happens! Throughout the entire day, we felt ahead of schedule and I loved that we maximized the timeline together in order to capture all of Meghan and Josh’s wants and needs. From exchanging heartfelt notes to prayers from all of their close friends and family, I just loved the excitement and energy of the day.

Meghan and Josh’s wedding colors were dark green and gold with white accents for the flowers. Candles covered the steps up to the Chapel at Nazareth Hall as guests arrived and were also all throughout Shady Brook Acres as guests attended cocktail hour.

Meghan and Josh met when Meghan was 6! Meghan’s brother and Josh were on the same soccer team. Meghan was out on the sidelines cheering for their team said she always had a crush on Josh. Their families became close and both went to the same church, so they saw each other quite a bit. When it came to Meghan’s senior Prom, she finally decided to ask Josh as a friend with bacon roses. They went together and stayed friends as Josh completed his freshmen year of college. When it was Meghan’s turn to start college the following year, the two made it official. The rest is history!

For the proposal, Meghan wanted to go out to eat for Christmas at a Japanese Steakhouse. Josh’s brother proposed the year before after they had dinner at the same place, so Meghan was a bit skeptical. On the way to drop Meghan back off, Josh missed the turn to her house and he said he wanted her to see some of the Christmas lights. The two parked and walked into a gazebo where there were candles on the steps and bacon roses. He got down on one knee then Meghan said yes before he even asked the question. I love that the bacon roses came full circle!

It was an amazing day – congratulations Meghan and Josh! I just loved your wedding day and spending it with you both!
