Everything you need to know about planning a wedding at Stillwaters Retreat, one of the most beautiful Findlay area wedding venues!

You can see Stillwaters Retreat website here for more info

Here are some reasons Stillwaters Retreat is a favorite of mine:

  • Absolutely stunning waterfront ceremony spot with quaint wooden structure.
  • Breathtaking views of the tree farm as you and your guests drive up and wander.
  • Rustic/industrial/modern reception space
  • Great for couples who love the outdoors and sustainability
  • Glamping stations with tents, beds, and fire pits for guests who want to stay all night
  • Not too far from Toledo and Findlay and close to I-75!
  • Two miles of trails and a beautiful bridge for the adventurous

Why Stillwaters Retreat is a unique Findlay wedding venue:

Along with the jaw-dropping views, this tree farm turned wedding venue in McComb is big on sustainability. The ceremony benches are made from trees cut down on the farm and there is lots of thought and care put into the neutral bridal suite with hooks to hang your wedding dress. There are even spaces for food trucks. The reception space is rustic, but has more modern and industrial lighting, which allows you to customize it however you’d like.

Where can I have my wedding ceremony at Stillwaters Retreat?

The Outdoor Chapel

This waterfront chapel is such a vibe. I love that when it comes to your wedding here, you have your choice of the outdoor chapel, Pavilion, and Modern Lodge to utilize however you’d like! It’s serene, and secluded, and even has two graceful swans that call Stillwaters Retreat their home.

How long can I reserve a ceremony space for at Stillwaters Retreat?

According to Stillwaters website, “With 14-hour wedding packages and a rehearsal onsite the week leading up to the wedding, you and your guests will love the memories you make at Stillwaters.”

What does a reception look like at Stillwaters Retreat?

The Pavilion

The Pavilion/Stillwaters Retreat ideally holds around 140 guests, although additional guests can be added for an extra fee.

Does Stillwaters Retreat come with a coordinator?

They do not! There will be an event manager on-site, but I highly recommend a coordinator to help your guests find the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception spaces easily. They’ll round up your guests for family photos if they wander and move all of your ceremony decor to the reception space.

Does Stillwaters Retreat allow me to bring my own caterer and alcohol?

Yes! You’re allowed to bring catering, food trucks, and alcohol/bartenders for your event. Catering must be considered level 4 (industrial kitchen) and you must have an insured server/bartender for alcohol.
