What an adventure we had with Taylor and Shane for their Stranahan wedding photos! This couple was so giggly and playful and I was so thrilled that the rain stopped before we had to go outside for portraits. If it’s gonna rain on a wedding day, I’ll totally 100% take early morning when everyone is getting ready over anything else! To give us a little more time for portraits and exploring in between the ceremony and reception, we did some of the wedding party photos beforehand. My second photographer and I split up and she tackled the guys and their photos while I tackled the girls. It’s something I love to do when we get the opportunity to ensure some downtime to just hang out, time to bustle a dress, and some time to just take photos of the couple alone.

The couple met in the same Statistics class in college at Siena Heights University. The pair hit it off and started dating and on their seventh anniversary, Shane proposed. Taylor said she didn’t expect it at all!

Taylor and Shane had a traditional wedding day before the ceremony and opted to not see each other and do a first look beforehand. Taylor did a first look with her dad before walking down the aisle and a reveal with her bridesmaids…and speaking of the aisle…Shane’s reaction when she walked down the aisle was priceless!

We traveled to Toledo Botanical Garden for some photos in between the ceremony and reception and then took some photos around the Stranahan Theater exterior. Taylor described the vision as romantic and elegant. The bridesmaids rocked dusty rose dresses and the groomsmen looked handsome in their navy blue suits.
