The Stables Wedding

Andrea and Austin’s day, a wedding their guests will talk about for a long time, was absolutely perfect. The wedding at The Stables itself was very rustic, elegant and modern. The couple used neutral colors such as beiges, taupes, creams, whites, and a lot of greenery. Their reception took place at a large big with farmhouse style doors, barrels, stalls, and lots of lights on the ceiling that makes for beautiful photos.

Andrea met Austin on sort of a blind date. She said, “My friend McKenzie and his friend Josh invited each of us to go to a Red Wings hockey game together. I knew of him from back in the day but never had a conversation. We hit it off really fast and its been history ever since.” Andrea said she knew Austin was the one when she told me, “he left for Florida the week after we met. I kept thinking about him and missed him. It was kind of like missing someone that I have known forever. Definitely was not expecting to feel that way so early on.”

The pair have a pretty amazing proposal story, as told by Andrea, “We were planning a huge house warming party last fall. We had only talked about getting married a couple times and we said that we would wait because we had just bought a house and wanted to get financially stable for the time being. Well 4 months after we moved in, we had our housewarming party. There were about 60 or so people there and my mom kept insisting I open all of the housewarming gifts we got. I kept putting it off because I hate being the center of attention and did not think you opened presents at this type of party. We all went outside and I started opening a couple gifts when this pizza box got delivered to me by Austin. I opened it and then shut it not realizing that written in pepperoni was “wife?”, Austin was down on one knee and asked if I read it, so I opened the box back up and everyone started laughing and I said “Yes!”. He had been planning this since that August when we moved in. It was the biggest surprise of my life.”

I absolutely loved capturing this couple’s amazing day from start to finish. Check out their beautiful day below:
