Toledo Zoo Aquarium Wedding Photography
Lisa and Matt had an absolutely incredible day on Saturday for their Toledo Zoo wedding. Matt is Lisa’s brother-in-law’s best friend and Lisa and Matt first met at their house warming party. Lisa’s sister and her husband found out they both had crushes on each other and convinced the two to start texting. A few months later, Lisa helped Matt move to Ohio and they made things official and started dating!
For the proposal story, the two ventured to Olentangy Caverns and had a lovely day exploring the cave, petting some animals, and mining some gemstones. There was a maze where you had to find prize machines and get little trinkets. Lisa said, “We had an extra token so Matt suggested we go back to the machine with the arrow heads to get another. He gave me a really long hug while carefully pulling the ring box out of his pocket that I hadn’t noticed all day. He let go and stood there holding it. His mind went blank and he said “I don’t know what to say”. I laughed a bit and gave him another hug and kissed his head. He then took a step back. He’ll tell you to him it felt like everything was going in slow motion. In reality he dropped onto one knee like a bolder and asked me to marry him. I said yes!” I love this so much!
For their wedding, the two wanted something in between a casual and an elegant day. The theme was “Masquerade Under the Sea” and the couple had masks at the table settings for the guests along with beauty/sea items. The bridesmaids were in stunning sapphire dresses and Lisa’s ceremony look was such a vibe. When a bridesmaid got COVID at the last minute, a friend stepped in and wore an inflatable dinosaur costume complete with blue dress, which was so perfect. I loved spending the day with these two and cannot wait to share the photos below!:
