Grady and Erica’s Dad’s share a mutual friend, so Grady has always gone on “guys trips” with Erica’s dad. Erica had never met Grady until one day he showed up at the golf course that she worked at (she drove a beer cart at a local golf course in the summer). Erica recognized the mutual friend he was with, who introduced them. They stayed in touch, started dating, got engaged…and the rest is history!
Speaking of getting engaged, Erica and Grady traveled to Florida on vacation in 2020. Erica said, “Grady completely surprised me and proposed on the beach. He also organized making sure our family came down to watch the entire thing.” So cute!
Their wedding was elegant and absolutely beautiful – their ceremony took place at St. Michael’s Church in Kalida, which reminded me of the Cloister at the Toledo Museum of Art. It was dark and photographed a deep, rich red. Their reception took place at UNOH and featured a “G” marquee letter above the head table, elegant sequined table linens, and a cake that even included a cheetah layer, Erica’s favorite thing! They celebrated on a party bus before entering the gorgeous reception space and then danced the night away with family and friends. It was such a great day – congrats Erica and Grady! I wish you both the very best!
