The second I walked into the hotel room at The Renaissance on Saturday, I was greeted by Amanda’s family and there was just this calm about everyone. You could tell everyone was anxious to get dressed and ready for the day, but I really felt the love in that room and it was great to experience that love in there. I gathered Amanda’s treasured wedding day items such as her dress, shoes, jewelry, and good luck charm and photographed those important things. We then got Amanda into her dress and met Rosendo outside for a first look, but not before Amanda and Rosendo’s daughter ran up to Rosendo and gave him a big hug. But let’s back up a bit – the couple met through Rosendo’s sister, Celia. She and Amanda went to beauty school and she would always talk about her brother so the couple ended up meeting and went on a date – and then fast forward 9 years ago and here we are!

Rosendo proposed when they were at the zoo with their daughter to see the lanterns. He stopped while walking and told me how he felt about me and our family and then popped the big question!

The wedding vision was a very boho earthy style with lots of eucalyptus, soft colors, whites, and pops of peach. I loved the rustic vibe at The Blarney. The ceremony and reception both took place at The Blarney and we even went up a crazy ladder to get some sunset photos before the sparkler exit we had to end the night downtown.

One of my favorite parts of the day was the handfasting part of the ceremony, where the wedding officiant, Atonn, tied their hands – the entire ceremony was very emotional, but it was such a beautiful thing to witness! From the start of the day at The Renaissance, ceremony at The Blarney, portraits at Middlegrounds Park, and Blarney reception, it was such a perfect and fun day! Amanda and Rosendo, I wish you both the very best!
