I loved Julia and Joe’s love story and wedding plans the minute I heard them. Love at first sight, a romantic yet traditional engagement (Joe lived out of town and the couple only saw each other on the weekends and they did not live together before their marriage), and a timeless wedding full of white. Read more to hear about their story, as told by Julia, and see their Toledo warehouse district wedding photos!
About their first encounter, Julia said, “I didn’t believe in “love at first sight” until I met Joe. I will never forget the day I laid my eyes on him – At the time, I was a new employee working at the front desk at the salon where Joe got his haircut. I was so incredibly nervous cashing him out after his haircut that I couldn’t find words to speak to Joe. Luckily, right before he left the salon, he asked me “what my name was” and I remember telling my girlfriend “watch me marry this guy.”
For the vision of the day, Julia said, “Ever since I could remember, I’ve always wanted a white winter wedding. At the time of our engagement, winter of 2017 was roughly a year and a half away, and we simply could not wait that long to get married, therefore, we decided to go for a September wedding.
I discussed the “all-white theme” to Joe and he was instantly sold. I was relieved to learn that he and I were on the same page and envisioned the same outlook for our wedding day. Together, both Joe and I envision our wedding day to be “heavenly white.” (I know that this is silly to say, but I told him I almost want it to feel as though you are stepping into a cloud). Everything will be white – from the flowers to the table linens, to the chairs, etc. Candles will be lit throughout the venue. The goal is to achieve a classic, formal and romantic setting and we are hoping that the “all-white theme” will accomplish that.”
And it was a show-stopper! The day was executed beautifully and it was elegant, romantic, and everything the couple could have ever hoped for!
Congratulations, Julia and Joe! I wish you many years of happiness!
