Fall Wedding at Stone Ridge | Bowling Green Wedding

Beth and Jon had the most perfect day on Friday at Stone Ridge. Beth, a big lover of fall, chose a gorgeous color palette and mentioned to me that one of her favorite days is the first day of fall, which took place the day before their wedding. But how she had a new favorite day – the second day of fall, which was the Friday they got married!

Hands down, Beth and Jon are some of the kindest people I have ever met. They genuinely appreciated and cared about every single person in attendance at their wedding – and it showed. Their first look before the ceremony was one of the most real and raw examples of one that I have ever seen – they saw each other, exchanged beautiful private vows, and just laughed and cried together. It truly was beautiful.

The conversation flowed and felt natural during their first date at Grounds for Thought in BG. Jon said โ€œit was the best first date that I had been on and it just felt rightโ€ and at the end of the date, Beth was excited about the 2nd date.

When I asked each of them how they knew there was something special about each other, Jon said, โ€œWhen you held your own at the wedding [it was a friendsโ€™ wedding] on our 4th date.” Luckybird was actually the photographer for this wedding in downtown Bowling Green. Beth enjoyed meeting Jon’s friends and some family at the wedding! It was so much fun.

Beth said, For me, it happened slower, and then BOOM all at once. There are so many little moments:
I was trying to balance the responsibilities of grad school while also trying to get to know Jon. He would stop by and visit me at Starbucks while I was working on papers just to visit for a few minutes. He called me at midnight on New Years Eve when we first started dating. I was in Wisconsin and not feeling well and he wanted to be the first person I spoke to in the new year. When he took me to my first Walleye hockey game and taught me how to yell โ€œFREEEEE Chiliโ€

A special touch to their wedding was the Grounds for Thought coffee served after dinner. These two also had a special touch straight from Wisconsin – Beth is from Wisconsin and Jon is a HUGE Green Bay Packers fan and the pair served Spotted Cow Beer (only sold in Wisconsin) at their wedding.

Congrats, you two! It was an incredible day and I was so honored to be a part of it!
