Even COVID couldn’t stop these two from getting married! Abbi and Will had quite an interesting year this year…they originally had a large wedding scheduled on March 21st of this year and, as you can imagine, their plans changed a bit. Bars shut down the week before their wedding date and as their date inched closer and closer, Ohio put out a mass gathering mandate, limiting these guys to 10 guests for their ceremony. The day after their intimate wedding, all of Ohio shut down. We were so lucky to just scoot by.
The couple was determined to have their reception and celebrate with more guests, so we celebrated last week (August 21, so 5 months later!) again. Married and ready to see everyone, Abbi and Will and their wedding party hopped on a bus and we traveled to the Pedestrian Bridge in Dublin as well as a nearby park. It was nice to get some portrait time in and some family groupings before dinner and dancing started.
It looked a little different than a typical reception, but it was still absolutely beautiful. I loved the contemporary decor at their wedding venue, The Exchange at Bridge Park, the couple shared an elegant ballroom dance together for their first dance, and there were so many smiles and tears as the couple announced that they were pregnant! Abbi’s mom carried on a long tradition of dressing up like a chicken and doing the chicken dance, which was SO GOOD!
I have known Abbi since elementary school, so it was so nice to get to spend 2 separate days seeing her the happiest and seeing the way she looks at Will. The love between these guys is just so obvious and I cannot wait to meet their new addition, arriving pretty close to their first wedding anniversary!
