Heban’s Summer Wedding
Let’s rewind to a few years back when Amanda and Brandon’s paths crossed at Bowling Green State University. Amanda, a fun-loving Junior, and Brandon, a seasoned Senior, were introduced through a mutual friend. Little did they know that this encounter would change their lives forever.
They hit it off from the start, bonding over their shared love for outdoor adventures. Hiking, biking, kayaking, you name it – they were inseparable. Sports also played a big part in their lives; they love rooting for Ohio State.
Fast forward to a heartwarming Christmas Day when they were driving home from celebrating with Amanda’s family in Cincinnati. Brandon had a surprise up his sleeve as he suggested taking a detour through Bowling Green on their way to Perrysburg, where the two reside. The chilly weather couldn’t dampen Amanda’s excitement as they passed City Park, the very spot where they had their first date. With a twinkle in his eye, Brandon suggested they stop, and there, in the midst of the snowy scenery, he popped the question on the same basketball court where their love story began. It was a moment filled with love, laughter, and a touch of winter magic.
And so, their wedding day arrived, embracing a charming and laid-back rustic theme. Picture greenery, white flowers, and a sprinkle of gold here and there, creating an enchanting atmosphere. To add a playful pop of color, they chose a delightful cornflower blue for the napkins, bridesmaids’ dresses, and groomsmen’s ties.
Though they celebrated their love joyously, they took a moment to remember Amanda’s late Father, who had passed away the previous year. Throughout the day, they found heartfelt ways to honor his memory. A special chair at the ceremony, adorned with a boutonniere, stood in his honor. And during a touching tribute dance with her brother, Amanda shared a slideshow that celebrated the beautiful memories they held dear.
Before walking down the aisle to meet her Mother, Amanda released a single white balloon, a poignant symbol of her love and connection to her late Father. It was a tear-jerking and beautiful moment that captured the essence of their bond.
From the halls of Bowling Green State University to the snowy basketball court proposal, Amanda and Brandon’s love story was a testament to the magic of unexpected connections and shared passions. As they embarked on their new journey together, they knew that their love story was just getting started, filled with laughter, adventure, and endless love.
