Gabe and Lindsay crossed paths at a high school volleyball game in Delta, Ohio. It all started when Gabe, with a dash of courage, approached her after her volleyball match didn’t go as planned. Lindsay put him in the friend zone, but that didn’t deter Gabe. He embarked on a pursuit to win her heart, showering her with sweet texts every single day until she finally agreed to catch a movie with him. This happened back in April 2017. Fast forward, they managed a long-distance relationship for an impressive 6 years, eagerly anticipating the day when they could finally unite their lives in the same place after tying the knot.
These lovebirds have a morning routine that’s all about staying active. They hit the gym together, lift weights, or venture out for a scenic hike in NW Ohio. Afterward, they like to kick back, enjoying quality time with their loved ones. You’ll often find them engrossed in card games, board games, or a friendly game of cornhole. Their wedding guest book even took on a unique twist – cornhole boards for guests to leave their mark!
Now, let’s talk about the proposal. It was a memorable evening at The Heights in Toledo in March 2022. Lindsay’s dad called, claiming to have a flat tire, so he was unable to meet them. Unbeknownst to her, this was all part of the plan. Gabe and Lindsay proceeded with their dinner, and a photographer friend of Gabe’s coincidentally sat nearby. As the drink menu arrived, Gabe handed it to Lindsay, pointing out “The Scarlett Kiss,” a drink named in honor of their journey. The description detailed their relationship, filled with unwavering love and the divine hand of fate that brought them together. And then, in a trembling moment, Gabe got down on one knee and asked Lindsay to marry him, a dream she had long awaited, finally coming true. The surprise continued as their families joined them, toasting with drinks and dessert to celebrate the joyful occasion.
Their wedding day perfectly captured their boho-meets-rustic vision, with a sprinkle of romance.
