I had the best time with Nicole and Bret for their fall engagement session! We started out our session with an early morning trip to Middlegrounds Park. I know how busy this park gets during a fall weekend and I also wanted pretty light, so I suggested early morning to these two and they were game! I just loved that crisp fall day, those peak colors, and those clouds in the sky were just wonderful. We traveled to Middlegrounds Park in Toledo for their engagement photos and then shortly after, went to a second-place that I cannot wait to talk about!
Nicole and Bret had lots of cute outfits that complimented and coordinated well with each other. As we traveled from spot to spot at Middlegrounds, we were chatting about their wedding day and just how excited the three of us are. I knew from the minute I met these guys that we would have so much fun together and I love how much Nicole and I chat about the day. These guys have so many unique and fun plans for their wedding to make it their own.
Speaking of unique and fun, for the second part of their engagement photos, the couple arranged for some time on the ice at the Huntington Center for some portraits. Yes, I said ice. As in hockey arena ice photos. I can easily say this was my most challenging session and a first for me! The idea scared me a bit, considering I could just picture my $10,000 worth of cameras and lens and lighting gear crashing down onto the ice as I not so gracefully fell on my ass, but I was totally fine! Huntington Center had some spikes for my shoes and I brought an area rug so I could quickly move from spot to spot without having to be slowed down by the ice. I was SO happy with what we got, considering THEY WERE DOING THIS ALL ON THE ICE! We even got the Zamboni involved, which was so much fun! I cannot wait to celebrate post Coronavirus with these guys – they had to move their May wedding to September.
